Rosetta are a band from Philadelphia whom just released their 3rd full-length, entitled A Determinism of Morality. They are often compared with bands like Isis or Mouth of the Architect and even Gospel. The maintained a sound that was dynamic and spacey on their first two albums but with this third giant of a record they push forward, redefining what it means to be Rosetta. Delayed guitars and audio manipulation still flow freely, however rather than add density they push and pull, hanging on emotive fluxes in the composition. Of course at first one listens and notices how much faster the album is, but what really is impressive is the overall feeling of this record. I won’t try to define it, but instead encourage you to listen. I feel like this is a great way to begin my postings on this blog and hopefully you all thoroughly enjoy this album

Street Smart was an emo band that existed from 2005 – 2008 from Bethlehem, PA. Members went on to form the band Snowing, who I believe just recorded their first full length. Unfortunately, their entire discography consists of a demo, an acoustic tour EP, and two unreleased songs. It’s a grand total of only 8 songs, but it’s all good stuff. I pretty much fell in love with this band the first time I heard them, especially with songs like “Kiss Kitty On The Lips”. That shit’s gold.

From their upcoming 12″ LIFE/LESS, “Silhouettes.”
I imagine this will be coming out on Discos Huelga, but that’s just a guess.
These guys continue to impregnate a stagnant genre with creativity.

So, it’s been awhile, eh? In the last few weeks, Dylan and I have been extremely busy with school projects, finals, moving out and back to Idaho, and, in his case, graduating from college. That’s right, Dylan will be a full-fledged scientist in no time. I’m so proud I could just cry. So we’re still hard at work at label stuff, mostly just trying to get help with distroing the tapes. If you know of anyone that is worth contacting, please let us know! We’re really trying to find a European distro but haven’t had any luck thus far. We’ve also got lots of distro items coming in that we’re really excited about, including records from the amazing Spanish band Heads and heads, and some awesome stuff from Utarid Tapes in Malaysia.
Our next release will be a discography tape for our friends in Lautrec. We are bummed that they are playing their final show this summer, but we are super excited to help them release all of their recorded material, including unreleased songs. Artwork and design are in progress. Because their final show is in June, this tape will be out before you know it.
I promise I’ll post some new music soon. I’ve got some projects to work on that kinda take precedence. For now, take this picture of the world’s most terrifying dad.
Go buy some tapes.
